Our Opportunity For You

Fiveways is a non-profit organisation. To continue to offer excellent play opportunities for our children and to help keep fees competitive, we ask parents and carers to help in a way that suits them. This is also a great way to meet other parents and be part of our local community too. Below are some suggestions of different ways you can be involved.

Join the Management Committee:
Trustees meet around 6-12 times a year to oversee the strategic development and business management of the playcentre.

Fund-raising:
Help organise our events, such the Summer Fair, Firework night and Christmas Celebrations. Extra help is always needed on the day of events too .

Help in kind:
You may have a trade, practical skill, or special interest you can offer? For example: gardening, making, baking, bicycle repair, wildlife, plumbing, decorating. If you are a solicitor, accountant, IT professional, for example, you might be able to offer help and advice? You may be able to print colour posters at your workplace or access charitable trust funds, ask for sponsorship of an event or offer a prize for the raffle.
We also hold tidy up days when we need a good sort out.

Volunteering at the Playcentre:
We offer work experience for those thinking about starting a career in childcare and those wanting to be more involved with their children’s education. Speak to Lucy, Tracy or Debbie if you are interested.
